INFINITY CALLING

"Hello."

"Hi. This is a surprise. It's been a while."

"Yes, it has. Too long, Deanna. I've missed you."

"Have you, Will?"

"Do you doubt me?"

"Yes. yes, actually, I do. You could have called."

"It works both ways, Deanna. You could have called me anytime. There were times when I longed just to hear you say my name."

"Which one?"

"The only one that mattered...Imzadi."

"Don't say that, Will. We've stopped being Imzadi. It's been too long now."

"I thought Imzadi was infinite. I thought we were..."

"So did I...once."

"I still love you, Deanna. Do you still love me?"

"Yes."

"Say it."

"Why?"

"I need to hear it. I need to hear you...see you say it."

"Why?"

"So you can't lie to me."

"I'd never lie to you, Will."

"No. No, I guess you wouldn't. So, say it."

"Why?"

"Because I want to make you cry."

"Why?"

"So we can feel alive again."

"And you think making me cry will achieve that?"

"Yes."

"I see."

"Say you love me, Deanna."

"No."

"No?"

"No."

"Why?"

"Because I need you to show me that you love me first."

"I already did, Deanna. I'm here, I've come back for you."

"That was a coincidence. A mission that your ship couldn't avoid."

"You're wrong."

"Am I, Will?"

"Yes. The Challenger was nearer, we could have easily sent them."

"So why didn't you?"

"Because I wanted...needed to see you - wanted to see if I was right."

"Right about what?"

"Us."

"Us?"

"Yes, us."

"We were never wrong, Will."

"But I was, Deanna, about many things."

"What things?"

"Us."

"Us?"

"Yes, us. I was wrong to leave you. I was wrong not to take you with me. I was wrong to not believe that what we had was for forever - infinity. I'm here to change that, Deanna, if you'll have me."

"Prove it."

"How? How can I make it right, Deanna?"

"By loving me, Will. Make me cry again."

"Now that I can do. I love you, Imzadi."

"And I love you too, Imzadi."

"For infinity?"

"For infinity, and beyond."
